Mara’s Mid-Century Mood
Our clients Clive and Tracey came to us looking for something different. They had spoken to other companies but kept getting generic designs that didn’t excite them. When they met with our lead designer, Mara, they gave her full creative freedom: “Treat it as a blank canvas. Go wild. We want to see what you come back with.”
A few weeks later, Mara presented a bold, mid-century-inspired kitchen that remained almost unchanged from the first concept. A striking mix of stained oak, bright orange cabinetry, and black steel detailing—custom-fabricated to specification—gave this space its distinctive character.
As with any truly bespoke project, there were challenges along the way. A ceiling height discrepancy meant a fabricated steel support had to be remade, causing a slight delay. But Clive and Tracey were patient and understanding throughout, knowing that great design takes time.
The end result? A kitchen that is completely unique to them. Warm wood tones, confident colour choices, and crafted details make this space feel as vibrant as it is functional. It’s a true reflection of trust in design expertise—and a testament to what happens when you dare to be bold.
