Sworton Heath: A Case Study of Luxury Modern Kitchen Design
We used luxury modern kitchen design to extensively remodel a character farmhouse cottage and make it compatible with a busy, modern family.
The design process started with a brief discussion of the client's desires. The Boot Room, for example, reflects the country life of the family. Solid materials such as wood were used to withstand heavy usage and add richness plus a tactile element to the space. As a very hardworking kitchen, the choice of materials used was picked to match. Solid oak dovetailed drawers and oak veneer cabinets were built to last generations. The painted wood doors can be repainted every few years to freshen up the space and maintain a contemporary appearance.
In luxury modern kitchen design, the material choice is an important factor to consider. High-end finishes and durable materials are essential to create a refined and long-lasting space that is both aesthetically stunning and very functional.
The appliances of the kitchen were carefully curated to contain specific features that the client desired. For example, there are steam functions in the ovens, extra big warming drawers and a ‘Fischer & Paykel’ American Fridge Freezer.
The cabinetry is tailored to fit the needs of the family. There are shelves for cookery books, and a niche integrated space to fit the client’s favourite chopping boards. Additionally, the wine room was customised and built to the client’s requests. We used stained oak veneer to create curves that fit the exact specifications of the room space.
