Understated Luxury
This kitchen in Timperley showcases how traditional design can meet modern practicality. The client envisioned a traditional in-frame shaker-style kitchen, refined through several design revisions using their reference images. Together, we meticulously developed a scheme that reflects their vision while adapting to the unique architecture of the space.
The kitchen’s large vaulted ceilings, reminiscent of a barn, and expansive glass elements flood the room with natural light, creating a bright and welcoming environment. The choice of door colours—Farrow & Ball Ammonite and Railings—provides a subtle contrast, perfectly complementing the clean lines and elegant feel of the space.
To meet the client’s request for an easy-to-clean design, the plinths were made completely flush with the doors, eliminating potential dust traps and ensuring the kitchen remains as practical as it is beautiful. The cabinet frames and doors feature a minimalist aesthetic with no bead detailing, enhancing the overall sleek and understated look.
Symmetry plays a key role in the kitchen’s design, adding a sense of balance and order to the space. This principle extends beyond the kitchen itself, with bespoke additions that enhance functionality throughout the home. A stylish pantry was created behind a Crittall-style door, providing ample storage while maintaining a seamless design flow. At the top of the stairs, a custom cloak area offers practical storage without compromising on aesthetic appeal.
This project is a testament to how thoughtful collaboration and attention to detail can result in a kitchen that is both luxurious and liveable.
